About the Role
We are currently seeking full-time Waterproofers to join our team and work on various projects throughout New Zealand. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-demand waterproofing tasks in both residential and commercial settings. We are looking for skilled professionals who are reliable, experienced, and willing to travel or relocate as needed. Positions are permanent, with a minimum of 30 hours guaranteed per week, and site locations will be determined based on project demand.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for applying waterproofing membranes and protective coatings to various structures, including foundations, basements, balconies, and roofs. You will interpret job specifications and safety requirements, operate relevant hand and power tools, and adhere to building code standards and health and safety guidelines. Your ability to work effectively across different job sites and environments will be crucial to your success.
Skills and Experience Required
To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in waterproofing, whether locally or overseas. Familiarity with torch-on membranes, liquid systems, and sealants is essential. A trade qualification or NZQA-recognised experience is preferred. We are looking for candidates who can work independently, travel between job sites, and demonstrate a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this role is listed in Auckland, we are recruiting for positions available across all regions of New Zealand based on project requirements. The regions include the North Island (Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatū-Whanganui, Wellington) and the South Island (Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland). Applicants from any of these regions are encouraged to apply, and candidates must be willing to travel or relocate within the country, with relocation costs covered by our company.
Benefits
We offer competitive pay ranging from $26.00 to $40.00 per hour, along with full-time, permanent roles and guaranteed minimum hours. We also provide necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools, along with opportunities for nationwide deployment.
