We are currently seeking experienced Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team for exciting opportunities in both infrastructure and commercial construction. About the Role We are hiring full-time Structural Steel Fabricators to work on significant projects throughout New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for the placement, securing, and tying of structural steel components according to engineering specifications. Our positions are full-time and permanent, with assignments based on project demand across various locations. Key Responsibilities You will interpret engineering plans and drawings to accurately place and secure structural steel components. Your role will include tying reinforcement steel using appropriate techniques for various reinforcement systems. Collaboration with site teams will be essential to ensure the timely and safe installation of steelwork. You will be required to comply with all health, safety, and quality standards on-site and work efficiently within large construction teams under strict deadlines. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in structural steel placement and reinforcement tying, whether locally or overseas. You must be able to read and work from technical and engineering drawings, possess strong physical fitness and manual dexterity, and have knowledge of safety procedures and quality control in steel construction. Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is preferred, and relevant trade experience or qualifications will be advantageous. Nationwide Opportunity and Travel While this role is advertised in Marlborough, we have opportunities available across all regions of New Zealand based on project requirements. These regions include: North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, and Wellington. South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland. We invite applicants from any of these regions, and you must be willing to travel or relocate within the country as needed. Please note that relocation costs will be covered by our company. Benefits We offer competitive hourly pay ranging from $25.00 to $32.00, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week. Our roles are full-time and permanent, and we provide the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools.
