About the Company At Seaview Estate Wines Limited, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and sustainability in winemaking. We are currently seeking a dedicated Cellar Hand to join our team at Yealands' Seddon-based Winery. About the Role In this permanent full-time position, you will be actively involved in all cellar operations, spanning from grape processing to the final preparation of wine for packaging. The role guarantees a minimum of 40-45 hours of work per week, with typical hours from Monday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. We are looking to fill one vacant position within our cellar team. As a Cellar Hand, your responsibilities will include: - Participating in general winery processes from vintage through to bottling preparation. - Engaging in fruit receival, batch and continuous flotation, and yeast propagation. - Contributing to large production as well as crafting small-batch wines using our unique concrete eggs. - Assisting with additions to wine and juice. - Operating centrifuge, crossflow, high solid crossflows, and barrels. - Supporting general winery operations and maintenance. Requirements We are looking for candidates who are: - Preferably experienced in winery or production environments, although training will be provided for those without prior experience. - In possession of a valid driver's license; forklift certification and first aid training are advantageous. - Passionate about wine, sustainability, and teamwork. - Eager to learn, safety-focused, and adaptable. - Flexible regarding extended hours during the vintage season.
