About the Role
We are currently seeking a part-time permanent team member to work 72 hours per fortnight across various locations. The schedule for this role includes:
- Week 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3 PM to 11 PM
- Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3 PM to 11 PM
This position requires a female staff member due to the specific needs of the individuals we support, in accordance with the Health and Disability Code of Rights and Section 27 of the Human Rights Act 1993.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualities:
- A Passion for People: You should be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to connect and communicate genuinely with others.
- Empathy and Understanding: A solid understanding of the principles of Enabling Good Lives is essential.
- Team Player: You should demonstrate professionalism, honesty, and reliability, along with a flexible mindset.
- Practical Skills: The ability to assist with personal cares, including showering and dressing, is necessary.
- Driver Licence: A full New Zealand Driver Licence is required, as driving a MASH van will be part of your responsibilities.
- Relevant Qualification: You should either hold or be committed to obtaining a New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing, which we will fund if you meet the necessary criteria.
