    About the Company Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and aims to create a health system that serves all New Zealanders. Our organization, specifically within Health NZ Waitaha Canterbury, provides comprehensive secondary and tertiary level inpatient and outpatient services within the Gastroenterology Department. We manage the Endoscopy Day ward and the FIT programme for Canterbury, and we are closely connected to the National Bowel Screening Programme (NBSP). About the Role We are currently seeking a Clinical Administrator to join our Gastroenterology Department. This full-time position involves working 40 hours per week and is an excellent opportunity for a team player who possesses a customer-centric approach. In this role, you will provide vital administrative support primarily through transcription, which includes typing medical letters and other clinical documents from dictation. Additionally, you will engage in managing professional relationships within our department. This position falls under the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement and has been mapped to National Band 3 / Profile 3. About You Essential qualifications for this role include: - Excellent keyboard skills (50 - 70 wpm) - Strong customer service skills with a focus on people - High level of written and verbal communication abilities - Technical proficiency with data systems and adaptability to new applications - Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills - High accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to meet deadlines and work independently - Capability to manage and coordinate various inputs to achieve desired outputs - A collaborative team player - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel) - A proactive and perceptive approach in an administrative role Desired qualifications include: - Broad administrative experience in a health-related field - Awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds - Knowledge of medical terminology - Familiarity with the public hospital system, including patient management systems Benefits Working at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora means joining a dedicated team focused on providing excellent healthcare to New Zealand's population.
