    About the Company At Seipp Construction, we pride ourselves on our commitment to operational excellence and making a meaningful impact in the civil construction sector across Aotearoa. We are currently seeking a Drainage Foreman to join our dynamic team in Auckland. About the Role As a Drainage Foreman, you will lead and manage a dedicated team of 4 to 6 drainage operators on large, complex drainage projects throughout the region. This hands-on, client-facing position requires your expertise in planning, leadership, and construction to ensure that projects proceed smoothly, safely, and efficiently. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of the job, including developing work plans, managing subcontractors, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed, and even getting on the tools when necessary. What You Will Do - Lead and manage a team of drainage operators, ensuring that all work is performed safely and efficiently. - Develop work plans and methodologies to keep projects on schedule. - Drive productivity on-site by coordinating materials, equipment, and resources. - Liaise with subcontractors to facilitate seamless operations. - Set up and implement health and safety processes to maintain a safe work environment. - Plan and schedule daily tasks to meet project goals and deadlines. - Get hands-on when required, including operating machinery or providing support to your team. While the role is based in Auckland, there may be a need for travel to other projects across the country. Requirements - Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test. - Current and valid rights to work in New Zealand. - A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, specifically in drainage work. - Strong knowledge of stormwater, water reticulation, and wastewater systems. - Familiarity with bypass pumping, dewatering, and trench shoring techniques. - Understanding of drainage specifications and industry best practices. - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. - Proven experience in leading teams and effectively managing personnel. - Solid understanding of health and safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe site. - A clean Class 1 driver's license, WTR endorsement, and experience operating machinery. - A positive attitude and a sense of humor that will contribute to our team culture. Preferred Qualification We are also interested in candidates who hold a Class B Approved Asbestos Removal Supervisor qualification, as this would be an added advantage.
