sKids was established in 1996 by two parents who sought to create a structured out-of-school care service for primary-aged children. Today, we proudly serve as New Zealand’s favorite destination for children, welcoming over 3,800 tamariki each day across more than 170 school sites. About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual who has access to a vehicle and is willing to work across multiple sites in the West Auckland region, with Whenuapai being your primary location. In this role, you will supervise and support children during program activities, ensuring a clean, tidy, hygienic, and safe environment for all children, staff, parents, and visitors at all times.
You will assist the Programme Manager in executing the daily schedule as outlined in the task list and report any concerns regarding a child or behavioral issues. This is a part-time position requiring over 9 hours per week, with shifts rostered between our before and after school programs. Additional hours may be available during school holiday programs.
Your working hours will be:
- Before school: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM
- After school: 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM
- Holiday programs: Anytime between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Location of work will be across various sites in the West Auckland region, including:
- Fruitvale
- Glen Eden
- Henderson North
- Lincoln Heights
- Peninsula
- St Leonards Road
- Whenuapai (your primary site)
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
- Are able to commute to and work at the specified sites
- Have a keen interest in working in similar industries
- Possess previous experience working with children, whether through babysitting or volunteer roles
