At sKids, we are dedicated to providing a structured out-of-school care service for primary-aged children. Founded in 1996 by two parents with a vision, we have grown to become New Zealand’s preferred children's hangout, serving over 3,800 tamariki daily at more than 170 school sites. About the Role
We are seeking a motivated individual who has access to a vehicle for convenience when traveling between our various sites in the North Shore and Auckland regions. As a successful candidate, you will supervise and assist children in program activities, ensuring that the environment remains clean, safe, and hygienic for all children, staff, parents, and visitors.
In this role, you will assist the Programme Manager in executing daily activities as outlined in the task list. It will be essential to communicate any concerns regarding children or behavioral issues directly to the Programme Manager.
This position requires a commitment of at least 5 hours per week, primarily during our after-school program hours. However, you may also be scheduled for before-school program hours. Your working hours will be as follows:
- After school: Between 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Before school: 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, Monday to Friday
- Holiday program hours may extend beyond this schedule during school holidays.
Your role will be a roaming one, meaning you will work across our sites within the Mangere region and potentially in Flatbush. The locations include:
- Mangere Bridge
- Waterlea
- Flatbush (located slightly further from Mangere)
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions.
- Be able to commute and work across the specified sites.
- Have a keen interest in working in similar industries.
- Possess previous experience working with children, which can include babysitting or any volunteer experience.
