sKids was established in 1996 by two parents who sought to create a structured out-of-school care service for primary-aged children. Today, we are proud to be New Zealand’s favorite children's hangout, serving over 3,800 tamariki daily across more than 170 school sites. About the Role
We are currently seeking two Casual Programme Assistants to join our team, working across our sKids programme sites in the Manurewa area. The ideal candidates will have access to a vehicle for ease of travel between sites.
As a Programme Assistant, you will supervise and assist children in various programme activities. It will be your responsibility to maintain a clean, tidy, hygienic, and safe working environment for all children, staff, parents, and visitors at all times. You will also assist the Programme Manager in executing the daily schedule as outlined in the task list. Additionally, you will be expected to report any concerns regarding children or behavioral issues to the Programme Manager.
Hours of Work
This is a casual employment role, with shifts scheduled from Monday to Friday on an "as required" basis. Please note that there are no guaranteed minimum or maximum hours for this position. When you are scheduled to work, your hours will typically fall within our "before school" and "after school" timetable:
- Before school: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM
- After school: 2:30 PM onwards
There may also be opportunities for additional hours during our Holiday Programme.
Location of Work
You will primarily work at Ohope School.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid visa to work in New Zealand without restrictions
- Have the ability to commute and work across multiple sites in the North Shore and Auckland region
- Possess a keen interest in working in similar industries
- Have prior experience working with children, which can include babysitting or volunteer work
