sKids was established in 1996 by two parents who wanted to create a structured out-of-school care service for primary-aged children. Today, we are proud to be New Zealand's favorite children's hangout, welcoming over 3,800 tamariki each day at more than 170 school sites. About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to oversee the sKids Programme, managing both its setup and daily operations. In this role, you will play a key part in building strong relationships with our school communities while contributing to the growth and development of “AWESOME kiwi kids.”
Your responsibilities will include providing day-to-day supervisory care for programme delivery, managing communication with parents and schools, and overseeing administrative tasks. You will also be responsible for managing staff and team members to ensure a positive working environment.
The role requires a commitment of 15+ hours per week, scheduled between our before and after school programmes. Additional hours may be available during school holiday programmes. The working hours are as follows:
Before School: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM
After School: 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Holiday Programmes: Anytime between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
This position is located in Papatoetoe Central, Auckland.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- A strong passion for working with children aged 5-12 and inspiring their confidence and authenticity.
- Previous experience in childcare or education, particularly in organizing before and after school programmes.
- Excellent communication skills, as you will serve as the primary contact between sKids and parents.
- A valid New Zealand work or student visa, or be a New Zealand resident or citizen.
- Applicants must be over the age of 20 years to comply with Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004.
