Structures Leading Hand - Auckland

Our projects range from formwork and bridges to concrete and structural steel, and we are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Structures Leading Hand to support our team in Auckland. In this role, you will work closely with our Supervisors and Foremen to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality civil infrastructure projects.
About the Role
As a Structures Leading Hand, you will be instrumental in the daily operations on-site. Your responsibilities will include planning tasks, supporting the performance of the work crew, and ensuring all jobs are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong formwork and concrete experience who is ready to advance into a leadership role.
What You Will Do
- Assist with task planning and preparation of work plans
- Ensure safe and smooth site operations, including oversight of equipment
- Support a high-performing crew by leading by example
- Participate in site health, safety, and environmental responsibilities
- Contribute to toolbox talks, incident closeouts, and Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) processes
- Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and suppliers
What You Will Bring
- Over 5 years of experience in civil construction, particularly in structures
- Proven skills in formwork, carpentry, bridges, concrete, and steel works
- Experience in leading or mentoring small crews
- Strong planning, communication, and teamwork abilities
- A relevant trade qualification
