About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Groundsman to join our expanding team. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with clients and key stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of our first-class cricket grounds and other playing surfaces. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of turf management, from initial preparation to ongoing maintenance, with a focus on achieving "match day" readiness.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about sports turf and possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of demonstrable experience in Turf Management, particularly in the preparation and maintenance of cricket pitches and other sports playing surfaces.
- A formal qualification in Turf Management, ideally at level 4.
- A mechanical aptitude for operating mowers, tractors, and other turf-related equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously.
- A current full driver's license.
- Physical fitness and an energetic, self-driven approach to work.
In addition to these technical skills, successful candidates will:
- Exhibit enthusiasm for cricket wicket preparation and a commitment to high-quality standards.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace.
- Be flexible to work weekends during the cricket and rugby seasons.
