About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Groundsman to join our growing team. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager and collaborate closely with clients and key stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain first-class cricket grounds and other playing surfaces, ensuring they are always ready for match day and other events.
This position encompasses all aspects of turf management, from initial preparation to ongoing maintenance throughout the year. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, enjoys working towards deadlines, and is committed to exceeding client expectations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- A passion for sports turf, particularly in cricket wicket preparation, along with a strong drive and energy.
- A minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in Turf Management, with specific expertise in the preparation and maintenance of cricket pitches and other sports turf.
- A formal qualification in Turf Management, ideally at Level 4.
- A mechanical aptitude for operating mowers, tractors, and turf-related equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- A current full Driver’s License.
