About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Groundsman to join our team. In this role, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and work closely with clients and key stakeholders to deliver exceptional outcomes on our first-class cricket grounds and other playing surfaces. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of turf management, from initial preparation to ongoing maintenance throughout the year, ensuring that our facilities are always match-day ready.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about sports turf and physically fit, with a strong drive to succeed. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in Turf Management, particularly in the preparation and maintenance of cricket pitches and other sports surfaces.
- A formal qualification in Turf Management, preferably at Level 4.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in using mowers, tractors, and other turf-related equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- A current full driver's license.
In addition to your technical skills, we are looking for individuals who possess the following qualities:
- A genuine passion for sports turf, particularly in cricket wicket preparation, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- The ability to work well both autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating a positive attitude towards safety.
- Flexibility to work weekends during the cricket and rugby seasons.
