About the Role
Our dynamic Kapiti branch is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to enhance our daily operations and support our team of drivers. In this role, you will be responsible for the organization, supervision, and control of day-to-day activities, including management of collection vehicles, plant, assets, and personnel. You will work closely with both council and commercial customers to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will prioritize safety, efficiency, and compliance with corporate policies, including Health and Safety and environmental regulations. You will be expected to lead by example, make informed operational decisions, and keep the team and customers aligned with our goals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should bring the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a multi-faceted role
- A clean Class 2 driver’s license or higher
- A working knowledge of accounting principles and commercial awareness
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven ability to manage employees and a fleet of trucks effectively
