About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Produce Manager or a second-in-command (2IC) ready to take on a greater role. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our produce department in a large store format as we undergo a complete upgrade of our chilled cabinets, following last year's replacement of other display units. Your involvement in this process will be key as we aim to enhance our fresh product offerings and create an outstanding buying experience for our customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, purchasing, and displaying high-quality produce that aligns with our customers' needs and preferences. You will manage supplier relationships and focus on building and developing your team by providing quality training opportunities and effective succession planning. Collaboration and teamwork will be essential as we work together to meet our goals.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Experience as a Produce Manager or 2IC
- Reliable, honest, and a strong team player
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Confidence and maturity to work independently and lead a team
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
