About the Role
We are seeking empathetic and passionate Support Workers to join our Community Services team in Christchurch. This role is ideal for those who want to make a tangible difference in their community and are looking for flexible working arrangements. We offer a permanent, part-time position to accommodate your other commitments.
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team that assists clients in living as independently as possible within their homes and communities. Your role will involve helping clients achieve their goals and reach their potential through both practical and emotional support.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Meal preparation
- Community outings and integration
- Administering medication
- Providing personal care (such as showering and toileting)
- Home management tasks (including housework)
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who hold a health and wellbeing qualification and possess one to three years of relevant work experience. Experience with using a hoist is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to support others in achieving excellence. Most positions will require a full New Zealand driver's licence and reliable transport.
