About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and punctual Catering Assistant to join our WellFood team at the Christchurch Health Campus. This part-time position requires you to work 24 hours per week during the evening shift, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM.
In this role, you will be responsible for taking meal and beverage orders directly from patients, assembling meal trays, and delivering them to the wards. Providing excellent customer service to our patients and their whanau is a key aspect of this position. We welcome candidates without food handling experience, as all necessary training will be provided.
The starting rate for this position is $27.80 per hour, in accordance with the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Reliability and strong time management skills
- Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude
- Good communication skills
- Previous customer service experience
- A warm, friendly approach with a genuine passion for helping others
- Previous experience as a Catering Assistant is advantageous, but not required
