About the Role
We are currently seeking a Formworker to join our team in Bromley, where we foster a family-like culture. In this role, you will report directly to your site leaders and play a key part in constructing and dismantling the temporary moulds that shape concrete structures. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and plans, accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping wood or metal materials, and assembling formwork to support a variety of concrete designs.
Your work will ensure the structural integrity of each build, which often includes the placement of steel reinforcement bars (rebar). Once the concrete sets, you will carefully dismantle the formwork without damaging the finished product. You will also apply release agents, adhere to safety regulations, and collaborate with other trades on-site. This hands-on role requires physical fitness, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safe, efficient construction practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have:
- Proven experience in formwork carpentry or a similar construction role
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Skills in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood or metal materials
- Knowledge of placing reinforcement (rebar) and applying release agents
- A strong understanding of site safety protocols and procedures
- Physical fitness, good problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
Having a current Site Safe card will be an advantage.
Benefits
We offer competitive compensation starting at $30 per hour, based on experience.
