    About the Company At Douglas Furniture & Joinery, we are a well-established joinery company based in Canterbury. As a locally owned and operated business, we take pride in our long history and heritage in the industry, specializing in commercial furniture and interiors. We are committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our clients. About the Role We are currently seeking to expand our team by inviting applications from individuals with CNC and edgebanding skills, as well as cabinet making experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our Biesse Rover AS FT 1836 CNC machine, and your experience with this equipment is highly valued. Your responsibilities will include: - Operating and maintaining the CNC machine - Assembling both commercial and residential furniture and joinery - Participating in occasional on-site work for installations and furniture setup (installation experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided) - Performing other duties as needed Requirements We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: - Proficiency in assembling cabinetry and joinery - The ability to manage multiple jobs and production runs throughout the workday - A working knowledge of joinery machinery - The capability to work independently Benefits We offer a full-time permanent position, consisting of 40 hours per week with the possibility of periodic overtime. Our remuneration package is competitive, and we foster a supportive social team environment. The position is available for immediate start or can accommodate a negotiable commencement date. All applicants must have a full, clean driver’s license (experience with manual transmission is desirable but not essential) and must be New Zealand residents or hold the relevant work permits to work in New Zealand.
