About the Role
We are currently seeking part-time Support Workers in the West Auckland region for our Whanau Support Services. In this role, you will assist individuals in their homes and communities to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. Your support will empower them to achieve their personal dreams and goals by engaging in a variety of activities they enjoy, such as swimming, attending sporting events, participating in arts and crafts, going to movies, or shopping— the options are endless.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and possess qualities such as kindness and understanding.
Key requirements include:
- Availability to work weekends and afternoons
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly experience working with youth
- A full driver's license and ownership of a vehicle are essential
- A desire to assist individuals in acquiring new skills and achieving their goals
- The initiative to encourage and motivate individuals, along with an energetic and outgoing personality
- A respectful attitude towards diverse lifestyles and the ability to empathize with individuals from varying backgrounds, recognizing the importance of cultural awareness
Benefits
In return for your dedication and commitment, we offer competitive pay rates ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour. You will have the opportunity to earn while you learn through free training towards NZQA Health & Wellbeing qualifications. Additional benefits include job security, sick and annual leave, a travel allowance, a work phone, and access to an Employee Assistance Program for health and wellbeing support.
