About the Role
We are currently seeking consultant anaesthetists to join our supportive and cohesive team at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital. This opportunity arises to cover several colleagues who will be on sabbatical leave.
Our hospital offers a collegial work environment with a variety of surgical and medical specialties, serving a diverse patient population.
About the Team/Service/Location
Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is located in Hastings, on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. As a large, accredited public facility with 400 beds, we provide both acute and elective care to a region of over 176,000 residents. The work within our department is diverse and often presents unique challenges.
In recent years, Hawke's Bay has seen significant population growth and demographic changes. We offer an extensive range of surgical, medical, oncology, and radiological services, and our facilities are expanding to meet the increasing demand. The coming years promise to be exciting as we grow.
Additionally, the private healthcare sector in Hawke's Bay is rapidly expanding, providing health professionals with opportunities to broaden their practice. The Royston and Kaweka private hospitals are in close proximity to our facility.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need to hold either a FANZCA or an equivalent qualification that qualifies you for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ). We are looking for individuals who are committed to providing high-quality service to our community.
