About the Role
We are currently seeking a Radiologist to join our expanding health sector, which includes new public and private imaging facilities. In this role, you will be integral to our wide range of surgical, medical, oncology, and radiological services. You will participate in regular multidisciplinary team meetings and will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, driving ongoing quality improvement, and developing innovative services through teaching and collaboration.
As you settle into your role, you may also have the opportunity to engage with the private sector, which we fully support.
About the Team/Service/Location
You will join a collegial team of up to eleven professionals who are committed to providing high-quality care and improving health outcomes for our local population, which includes a significant Māori and Pasifika community. Our team is part of a regional training program that currently includes one registrar.
We encourage the development of subspecialty interests to address the unmet needs within our community. Our department has strong connections with other imaging departments and specialties, as well as regional and tertiary services, ensuring a comprehensive package of care for our patients.

About You
To be successful in this role as a Radiologist, you should:
- Be registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) under the vocational scope of practice as an Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist.
- Either hold a Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) or demonstrate equivalent qualifications (such as FRCR) or completion of training in a comparable healthcare system that meets MCNZ standards.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with patients in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
