About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our collaborative head and neck service. This position can be filled on either a part-time or full-time basis, with hours ranging from 64 to 80 hours per fortnight (0.8 to 1.0 FTE). In this role, you will provide high-quality care while also having the opportunity to develop subspecialist interests that align with the department's existing services.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our team consists of a registrar, a house officer, and a clinical specialty nurse, with plans to add another registered nurse for further support. The department is well-equipped to handle all aspects of modern head and neck healthcare. We maintain strong connections with allied health departments and other specialties, as well as regional and tertiary services, enabling us to provide a comprehensive package of care. Additionally, we play a vital role in medical education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

About You
To be considered for this role, applicants must be registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and must hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or an equivalent qualification. We seek candidates who have relevant clinical experience and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, you should be adept at developing and maintaining professional relationships with general practitioners and other surgeons, as well as engaging in Continuing Medical Education (CME).
