    About the Company Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldier's Hospital is a key part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, an organization dedicated to creating a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the Role We are excited to announce a permanent position for a Radiologist, available on either a part-time or full-time basis, with an expected workload of 64 to 80 hours every fortnight (0.8 to 1.0 FTE). Our local health sector is experiencing significant growth, with new public and private imaging facilities currently under construction. In this role, you will support a broad array of surgical, medical, oncology, and radiological services. Your responsibilities will include participating in regular multidisciplinary team meetings and delivering high-quality care on a daily basis. You will play a key role in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, developing innovative services, and contributing to our teaching efforts. Once you have settled into your role, there may be opportunities for you to explore work in the private sector, which we fully support. About the Team/Service/Location You will join a collaborative and collegial team of up to eleven professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care and improving health outcomes for our local community, which has a significant Māori and Pasifika population. Our team is integrated into a regional training program, currently hosting one registrar. There are ample opportunities to develop subspecialist interests that align with our department's services, especially given the high levels of unmet need in our community. We maintain strong regional connections with other imaging departments and specialties, as well as tertiary services, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients. About You As a qualified Radiologist, you will need to meet the following criteria: - Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) under the vocational scope of practice as an Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist. - Be either a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) or able to demonstrate equivalence (e.g., Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists - FRCR) or completion of training in a comparable healthcare system aligned with MCNZ standards. - Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with patients in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
