About the Company
Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldier's Memorial Hospital is a leading healthcare facility located in Hastings on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. As a large, accredited public hospital with 400 beds, we provide both acute and elective care to a diverse patient population of over 176,000 people. Our commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi drives us to build an inclusive health system that serves all New Zealanders.
About the Role
We are currently seeking a consultant anaesthetist to join our supportive and cohesive team on a part-time basis, covering a period of sabbatical leave. The role offers a collegial work environment and the opportunity to engage with a range of surgical and medical specialties.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our hospital is situated in a region that has seen significant population growth and demographic changes over the past decade. We offer a variety of surgical, medical, oncology, and radiological services, and as a result, we are experiencing a need for considerable expansion of our facilities. The upcoming years promise to be exciting as we adapt to these changes.
Additionally, the private healthcare sector in Hawke's Bay is rapidly expanding, creating opportunities for health professionals to broaden their practice. Both Royston and Kaweka private hospitals are in close proximity to our facility.
Hawke's Bay is known for its excellent work-life balance, with access to beautiful beaches, outdoor adventures, great schools, mountains for skiing, and renowned wineries. Our vibrant cities offer a rich lifestyle that enhances both personal and professional fulfillment.
