About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Process Operator to join our team at the Timaru plant. Our local farmers supply the facility with potatoes that are processed and packaged into our well-known french fries and chips, ready for cooking and consumption. It is our team's curiosity, courage, and commitment to excellence that has made McCain Foods a household name worldwide.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure the efficient production of our internationally recognized fries. As part of a small team, your attendance is crucial to ensure that operations are adequately staffed. This position requires a rotating shift pattern, which includes working two shifts from 7 am to 7 pm, followed by two shifts from 7 pm to 7 am, and then four consecutive days off. The role involves some manual handling, and you will be on your feet for extended periods, so a reasonable level of fitness, strength, and agility is necessary.
Requirements
