    About the Company At Spectrum Care, we are dedicated to providing exceptional support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where children and teenagers can thrive, feel safe, and enjoy their time with us. We are currently looking to expand our team at our children's respite house located in Titahi Bay, Porirua. About the Role We have two full-time positions available to join our respite house team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping children and teenagers with intellectual disabilities feel secure and engaged during their stay. Your responsibilities will include creating a lively atmosphere and providing calming support when needed. You will need to be attentive to the children's emotional states and offer guidance, comfort, or assistance as appropriate. A key aspect of this position is the ability to adapt to various communication styles, so having an interest or skill in finding effective ways to connect with the children is highly valued.
