About the Role
We are currently seeking Support Workers for both AM and PM shifts in Tawa on a fixed roster. This position allows you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of tangata whai ora as they navigate their aging journey. You will be a valuable member of our Residential Tumanako team, providing essential support to individuals who wish to age in the comfort of their own homes.
In this role, you will support six tangata whai within our housing and recovery service. Your responsibilities will include assisting with meal preparation, cleaning, and other daily activities that help individuals live their best lives. You will enjoy the benefits of a night-time schedule, including a provided meal during awake night shifts.
Available Shifts:
- Tuesday to Saturday: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
- Friday to Monday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Friday to Saturday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Sunday to Monday: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
You will report directly to the Team Coach.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should:
- Hold a current full driver's license
- Have a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Possess the Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognized equivalent, or be actively working towards this qualification. If you do not have this qualification at the time of hiring, you must begin your studies within six months and complete them within two years.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti Waitangi
