We are currently seeking a skilled Chef to join our team and contribute to our culinary excellence. About the Role In this position, you will assist the Site Manager and Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen. You will also take on responsibilities in their absence, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve maintaining a designated section of the kitchen, adhering to our standards for quality, cost control, and staff training. Duties and Responsibilities You will be responsible for the operation and organization of your designated kitchen area. This includes assisting with menu planning and ensuring that recipes and portion sizes are followed to maintain consistency and control costs. Your responsibilities will also include training kitchen staff, managing staff rosters in collaboration with the Site Manager and Head Chef, and conducting quality checks on dishes before they leave the kitchen. Additionally, you will follow established policies to ensure food safety and health standards are met in all food preparation areas. You will play a key role in maintaining kitchen equipment and work environments, ordering and managing inventory, supporting staff, and promoting a positive atmosphere in the kitchen. Communication with front-of-house staff will be essential to ensure a high standard of service. You will also be involved in conducting kitchen meetings with the Site Manager and Head Chef. Finally, you will be expected to perform any other duties that the Site Manager or Head Chef may reasonably require.
