About the Role We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs. You will play a vital part in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities In this position, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items while ensuring that all ingredients are fresh, properly labeled, and stored correctly. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workstations is essential. You will also follow food hygiene, health, and safety regulations, assist with stock rotation and inventory management, and learn to adhere to our recipes and presentation standards. Additionally, you may perform other duties as assigned by senior kitchen staff. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have a culinary school diploma or relevant kitchen experience, although this is preferred rather than mandatory. A basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques is important, as is a strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. You must be able to work effectively under pressure and thrive in a team environment. Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
