About the Role We are currently seeking five skilled cooks to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Our positions guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a work roster that spans from Monday to Sunday. The hourly pay ranges from $25 to $28, depending on your skills and experience. As a cook at Katsubi, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, contributing to the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes. We are looking for individuals who have a strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to teamwork. Requirements To be considered for this role, you should have: - A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in the culinary field or a level 4 qualification or above, which may include an overseas occupational certificate. Your responsibilities will include: - Setting up workstations with the necessary ingredients and cooking equipment - Checking ingredients for quality and freshness - Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using various utensils and cooking equipment - Seasoning, portioning, and adding sauces to dishes as needed - Catering to clients' taste and dietary requirements - Properly storing and reserving food at the correct temperatures - Cleaning and restocking workstations, ensuring all equipment is sanitized for the next shift - Checking the cleanliness and operational status of equipment before each use to comply with health and safety regulations - Assisting in menu planning and estimating food and labor costs - Training and supervising kitchen staff as required Benefits At Katsubi, we take pride in the quality of our food and the high standards of service we provide.
