Description
About the Company
We are excited to announce the upcoming opening of our brand-new PAK’nSAVE in Rolleston in October 2025. Our goal is to establish a supermarket that stands out as the best low-cost option in New Zealand, dedicated to serving one of the country’s fastest-growing communities with exceptional value and service. As we prepare for this launch, we are looking for a detail-driven Inventory Manager to join our team and ensure that our dry goods are managed efficiently and our shelves are always customer-ready.
About the Role
As the Dry Goods Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the systems and stock that keep our dry goods department running smoothly. Your role will include managing SAP data, ensuring that shelves remain full and accurate, and serving as the primary contact for all inventory-related matters. You will collaborate closely with your team to ensure that stock is in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantities.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing inventory accuracy using SAP and other systems to manage stock levels, orders, and replenishment.
- Monitoring stock movement, investigating variances, and reducing waste through informed, data-driven decisions.
- Keeping the department well-organized, compliant, and prepared for trade.
- Supporting a small team by providing clear expectations and hands-on guidance during daily operations.
Please note that all roles will require working either a Saturday or Sunday shift, and start dates will be staggered in the lead-up to our October opening. We will confirm hours and dates with successful applicants prior to offering a position.
Requirements
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who brings structure, accountability, and a systems-oriented approach to their work. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in inventory management and SAP, preferably in a supermarket or FMCG environment.
- Confidence in working with stock data, supplier orders, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational skills, approachability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- An understanding of the importance of accuracy, availability, and customer expectations.
- Comfort in leading a small team and supporting daily performance.
Benefits
Joining our team offers you the chance to help establish and grow a new store from the ground up. You will be part of a leadership team committed to doing things right—for our customers, our teams, and the wider community. You will have the opportunity to work within a trusted brand that embodies the excitement of a fresh opening, all while operating in a modern, purpose-built environment designed for growth.
