About the Role
We are currently seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our team at the Waiora CBD Building in Hamilton Central. This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday. In this role, you will provide a timely and efficient payroll service to employees of Health New Zealand, Waikato.
As a Payroll Administrator, you will engage in a variety of tasks within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your analytical skills, time management abilities, and attention to detail. The salary for this position will be competitive and based on your experience, in line with the PSA National Health Administration Workers Collective Agreement. About You
To be successful in the role of Payroll Administrator, you will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- NCEA Level 3 or relevant work experience
- At least one year of experience working with electronic payroll systems and processes, preferably in a large organization (1000+ employees)
- A solid understanding of human resource and payroll-related legislation as it applies to the Health Service
- Familiarity with collective and individual employment contracts
- The ability to undertake shift work as needed
- High proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
- Experience with PeopleSoft and OneStaff is advantageous
