About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our Inpatient Receptionist team at Health New Zealand, located at 183 Pembroke Street, Waikato Hospital, Hamilton. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week.
In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in providing reception and administrative support in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be methodical, highly organized, and flexible, with a strong desire to be a supportive team member. Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
Your daily responsibilities will include welcoming patients and visitors, answering phone inquiries, and liaising effectively with the Medical Team. You will also be responsible for capturing patient data, assisting patients in completing necessary forms, and maintaining a clean and calm reception area amid a busy atmosphere.
About the Service
Our Inpatient Receptionist team is dedicated to ensuring efficient front desk operations within the wards. This includes greeting, admitting, discharging, and transferring patients, as well as managing patient records. Our focus is on providing essential support to healthcare staff while prioritizing the care of our patients and their whanau.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in office skills, including previous clerical and hospital experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
