About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our Inpatient Receptionist team on a permanent part-time basis, requiring 16 hours per week. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering both reception and administrative support in a bustling environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a methodical approach, exceptional organizational skills, and a flexible mindset, along with a genuine desire to be a supportive team member. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
On a daily basis, your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and visitors
- Answering phone inquiries and liaising with the medical team
- Capturing data related to patient flow
- Assisting patients with the completion of necessary forms and documentation
- Maintaining a clean and calm reception area in a busy setting
About the Service
The Inpatient Receptionist team is dedicated to managing front desk operations within the wards. This includes greeting, admitting, discharging, and transferring patients, as well as maintaining patient records. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area, while providing essential support to our healthcare staff. Our success is driven by our commitment to the care of patients and their whānau.
About You

- Office skills, along with previous clerical and hospital experience
