About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neonatal care for our Level 2A Special Care Baby Unit. In this fixed-term, part-time position, working 56 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE), you will take on a significant leadership role. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced nursing expertise and care to neonates aged 28 weeks and above.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with whanau, nursing staff, medical professionals, and allied health specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will focus on expert clinical assessment, staff mentorship, evidence-based care delivery, and driving service improvements. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of neonatal nursing care while providing essential support to families during a critical period.

About You
To thrive in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in neonatal or paediatric nursing.
- A master's degree, or progress toward obtaining one.
- Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Confidence in managing complex care scenarios and collaborating effectively under pressure.
- A deep commitment to whanau-centred, equitable, and quality-driven care.
