About the Company
At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we are committed to delivering excellent healthcare to all New Zealanders. Our organization is guided by the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and we strive to create a health system that is inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of our communities. We are dedicated to fostering a workforce that reflects the rich diversity of our population, welcoming applications from Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health clinician who is ready for a new opportunity to enhance their assessment, risk management, and brief intervention skills. We invite Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Child Psychotherapists, and Clinical Psychologists to apply for permanent full-time (40 hours) or part-time (minimum 24 hours) positions based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, working Monday to Friday.
As a member of the Kari Centre, a dynamic outpatient service specializing in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will provide assessment and therapy to children, young people, and their families in the central Auckland area. Your role will involve both individual and collaborative work with other professionals to deliver high-quality assessments, formulations, and goal-based therapeutic interventions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that both the young person and their family are actively engaged in their care and decision-making processes, empowering them to achieve their identified goals and lead fulfilling lives.
The Kari Centre is recognized for its excellence and innovation in the field, offering numerous opportunities for career development. We provide access to internal and external training packages, including formal post-graduate training, to support both new staff in skill development and experienced clinicians looking to enhance their expertise.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should be an experienced and registered professional—either a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, Psychotherapist, or Clinical Psychologist—with a current New Zealand registration and practicing certificate.
We are looking for candidates who have previous experience working with children and youth in a mental health setting, demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and can perform well under pressure. As this is a community-based role, a full and clean driver’s license is required.
The Kari Centre has adopted the CHOICE and Partnership approach. For more information, please visit http://www.camhsnetwork.co.uk.
