About the Role We are excited to invite applications for the position of Ophthalmic Technician within our Ophthalmology Department. Our team is responsible for the eye health of both Te Toka Tumai and Waitemata patients, seeing over 110,000 patients each year across the Auckland region. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is passionate about providing patient-centered care. We welcome applicants with varying levels of experience, whether you are new to the field or have prior experience. What is an Ophthalmic Technician? An Ophthalmic Technician provides technical assistance and conducts assessments using a wide range of diagnostic equipment to evaluate patients' eye conditions. Where do Ophthalmic Technicians work? This role will require you to work across multiple sites in the Auckland region, with rostered shifts that cover Monday through Sunday. As we continue to grow, we care for our patients at various locations throughout Auckland. Requirements To excel as an Ophthalmic Technician, you should possess the following important skills: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - The ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds - Flexibility and a collaborative spirit to thrive in a team environment If you enjoy a fast-paced setting and are ready for a new challenge, this is an excellent opportunity to begin your healthcare career. While prior experience in healthcare is beneficial, it is not required as we will provide the necessary training and support. We have permanent full-time and part-time positions available.
