About the Role We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Social Worker to join our Regional Forensic Psychiatry Team. This is a permanent, part-time position, requiring 24 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Forensic Service, focusing on assessing and advising on the mental health issues of offenders. You will conduct mental health triage assessments for prisoners referred by Corrections and Health staff, and provide follow-up care for a caseload of individuals with major mental illnesses. Given the complexity of our clients' mental health needs, you will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team in a custody environment. We value excellent communication and networking skills, as well as a genuine interest in both the judicial system and mental health issues affecting our clients and their families.
