    About the Company At Spectrum Care, we are dedicated to providing exceptional support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring they have access to meaningful experiences and opportunities to thrive within their communities. We operate across various locations in Auckland, offering comprehensive support options that prioritize safety and engagement. About the Role We are currently seeking Community Support Workers to join our School Holiday Program for a fixed-term contract of 1-2 weeks during the New Zealand school holidays. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on creating a safe and nurturing environment for children with learning disabilities. Reporting to the Programme Leader, your primary responsibilities will include facilitating engaging activities and encouraging active participation among the children. These positions offer varied shifts from Monday to Friday, typically scheduled between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM, aligning with the school holiday calendar. If you are passionate about helping individuals build self-confidence and independence, and you want to support them in living fulfilling lives within their communities, we would love to hear from you. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience: - A strong commitment and passion for supporting individuals with disabilities - Effective communication skills to engage with colleagues and those you support - Empathy and a readiness to assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting - A commitment to obtaining a Community Support Worker Level 3 qualification - Relevant experience in supporting individuals with disabilities and/or challenging behaviors - Reliability and a strong sense of commitment to the role - A full New Zealand driver's license - Proficiency in computer use, including familiarity with Word, Internet Explorer, and email applications Benefits By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families while working in a supportive environment.
