About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide clinical and staff leadership across our service. In this important role, you will collaborate closely with our experienced Operations Manager to address day-to-day operational needs and step in to provide staff leadership in their absence. You will manage a team of staff while also being actively involved in the care and support of the men in our service.
This position is hands-on and requires you to engage directly with clients, addressing conflict and problem-solving on a daily basis. You will also participate in our on-call roster once a month.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- An NZ-approved degree-level qualification in Social Work, Addictions, Nursing, Counselling, or a related field.
- Full NZ registration with NZAC, Dapaanz, Nursing Council, SWRB, or an equivalent organization.
- A minimum of five years of employment experience in Housing, Corrections, Addictions, Social Work, Health, or a related area.
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role.
- A passion for and ability to work in a men's hostel environment, acknowledging that the majority of our staff are female.
- Strong skills in crisis management and the ability to facilitate safe and respectful outcomes.
- Experience working within a culturally diverse population.

We are looking for candidates who are adaptable, energetic, self-motivated, and committed to our mission of caring for people, transforming lives, and reforming society.
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The salary for this role will fall within the Social Work pay equity leadership scale, ranging from $95,000 to $122,000, depending on qualifications and leadership experience.
