About the Role
We are looking for a Nurse Educator to join our team at Ward 14, Medical Elder Services in Whangarei Hospital. This is a permanent part-time position, requiring 28 hours of work per week (0.7 FTE). In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting, facilitating, and delivering clinical education to enhance healthcare delivery, improve patient outcomes, and uphold clinical excellence and evidence-based nursing practices.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting clinical excellence by facilitating, developing, and providing education programs and resources tailored to the ward/unit.
- Developing the skills and capabilities of the nursing workforce within the clinical area.
- Leading and participating in quality improvement activities to demonstrate a commitment to enhanced healthcare delivery.
- Maintaining consistently high clinical standards while exhibiting clinical leadership and professionalism.

About You
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:
- Hold a current practicing certificate as a New Zealand Registered Nurse.
- Possess a relevant Postgraduate Diploma.
- Have a Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert PDRP, with evidence of clinical examples.
- Hold a Certificate in Adult/Clinical Teaching.
- Have at least three years of experience in the relevant specialty area.
- Have a minimum of seven years of post-registration experience.
- Bring clinical teaching experience to the role.
