About the Role
We are seeking a District Nurse to join our team in Whangarei. In this role, you will prioritize the needs of patients and their families/whānau by delivering contemporary nursing care that is safe, appropriate, and effective. Your practice will be rooted in comprehensive assessments, ensuring continuity of care that is patient-centered, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based.
Care will be provided in the community setting, which may include patients' homes, community clinics, or other mutually agreed environments. This role is based in Commerce Street, Whangarei, and will require some travel throughout the region.
About You
We are looking for candidates who are flexible and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a friendly and experienced team. If you enjoy variety and the challenge of providing care to clients in the community, we encourage you to apply.
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- A current Full NZ Driver's Licence
- The ability to collaborate effectively with team members and work groups to achieve specific objectives
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Experience in community health care is desirable
