About the Role
We are looking for experienced clinical dietitians to join our team on a casual basis in Taranaki. The successful candidates will have the flexibility to work as needed at our facilities in New Plymouth or Hawera. Our dietetic clinicians collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams in both inpatient wards and outpatient clinics, supporting clients with various health challenges throughout their lifespan. Our specialist areas include renal care, pediatrics, and nutrition support.
About the Team/Service/Location
You will be part of a dedicated team of ten skilled dietitians and will have regular interactions with other health professionals across Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki services. For more information about living and working in Taranaki, please refer to our website.
About You
We are seeking a qualified, registered dietitian who is able to practice in New Zealand and is excited about this opportunity. You should share our vision and values, ensuring that our patients feel supported and cared for throughout their healthcare journey.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Hold current practice registration with the NZ Dietitians Board, including an endorsed scope of practice as a Dietitian Prescriber.
- Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibit the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Be available to work at short notice.
- While recent clinical dietetic experience of over one year is preferred, it is not essential. Knowledge of foodservice dietetics would be advantageous.
