About the Role
We are seeking a Health Care Assistant who will play a crucial role in supporting our residents with their daily living and social needs. In this position, you will empower residents to maintain their independence and make their own decisions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering personalized care of the highest standard to every resident
- Supporting and encouraging residents to maintain their independence
- Assisting with daily living activities in accordance with the Eden principles and the Domains of Wellbeing
- Taking direction from the Registered Nurse
- Ensuring residents' needs are met effectively and promptly
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the well-being of older people. You should be enthusiastic, patient, and well-organized, with strong interpersonal skills. Our ideal candidate will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect. Additionally, you will need to have:
- The ability to be an active member of a team
- Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills, as we utilize electronic record keeping
- A Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or higher
- Previous experience in aged care or a healthcare assistant/support worker role
