About the Role
We are currently seeking Geotechnical Engineers at both intermediate and senior levels to join our growing team in Hamilton, Tauranga, or Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career and work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment.
Intermediate Role: $97K - $115K
This position is ideal for geotechnical engineers with 3-5 years of post-graduate experience. You will have the chance to take on more responsibility and further develop your technical expertise.
Senior Role: $115K - $133K
We are looking for experienced geotechnical professionals with 5+ years of experience who are ready to lead projects and mentor junior team members while continuing to enhance their technical capabilities.
Your Day-to-Day
In this role, you will:
- Apply advanced geotechnical analysis methods and software.
- Design foundations, slope stabilization measures, ground improvement techniques, and retention structures.
- Collaborate with our Geotechnical Lead on diverse and challenging projects.
- Deliver technical reports and recommendations to clients.
- Develop geotechnical solutions for a wide range of infrastructure developments.
- Support business development efforts and proposal preparation.
Your Expertise and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A BEng/BSc in Civil (Geotechnical) engineering.
- CPEng accreditation or be actively working towards it.
- A strong understanding of soil mechanics and earthquake engineering.
- Proficiency in liquefaction, lateral spreading, settlement assessment, earth pressure calculations, slope stability analysis, and bearing capacity evaluation.
- Knowledge of New Zealand design codes and earthquake engineering practices.
- Experience with volcanic soils is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- A client-focused approach and a collaborative team spirit.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A current New Zealand work visa or residency.
