About the Role
We are seeking Senior and Principal Bridge Design Engineers to contribute their exceptional expertise to our exciting projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to leave a lasting legacy on some of New Zealand's most ambitious infrastructure endeavors. With a stable pipeline of diverse clients and challenging projects, you will have the autonomy to drive significant engineering solutions while being supported by a collaborative, high-performing team.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Chartered Professional Engineer status or be working towards this qualification
- A proven track record in bridge design excellence
- Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand standards, design codes, legislation, and practices
- Strong independent work capability paired with exceptional project management skills
- Expertise in earthquake engineering design and implementation
- Experience with Alliance or Design & Construct projects (preferred)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Crafting compelling expressions of interest and project proposals that secure new business
- Collaborating with clients to develop comprehensive design briefs, including preliminary programming and budgeting
- Leading fee estimation and client negotiations to ensure project profitability
- Executing sophisticated design, investigation, and documentation aligned with project requirements
- Delivering clear and concise project reporting and progress updates
