About the Company
At Brackenridge, we are dedicated to providing mana-enhancing support across the Canterbury region. As a registered charity, we offer accommodation and daily living assistance to children, young people, and adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and complex support needs. We advocate for the rights and well-being of all those we support, including their families and whanau.
Our goal is to help individuals achieve their personal aspirations, whether that involves tailored communication, positive behavior approaches, learning life skills, engaging in community activities, or securing employment. We strive to empower individuals and their whanau to live fulfilling lives as defined by them.
Our approach is centered on tailoring support to meet each person’s unique aspirations. Rather than being a destination, we walk alongside individuals for as long as they and their families feel it is necessary. We utilize evidence-based, outcome-focused methodologies to ensure our practices are designed to help people live the lives they choose. We believe that strong relationships are built on recognizing and upholding individuals’ rights, strengths, abilities, and beliefs.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone has choice and control over their lives. Our support is designed to be accessible and to enhance the mana of those we serve. At Brackenridge, we are dedicated to facilitating strong connections between disabled individuals and their communities.
