About the Role
We are currently seeking full-time and part-time Permanent Relievers who are passionate about encouraging and empowering individuals with learning disabilities to lead meaningful lives. As Permanent Relievers, you will play a crucial role in our service, covering both planned and unanticipated leave across all our offerings. This position provides flexibility and opportunities to work across various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively promote self-advocacy, self-confidence, independence, participation, and choice among individuals.
- Assist individuals in accessing opportunities and engaging in a fulfilling lifestyle of their choosing, in collaboration with family, friends, and the community.
- Support individuals with their daily personal needs.
Requirements
- A full, clean, and current New Zealand driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work 24/7 on a rotating roster.
- Experience or knowledge of working with adults or children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is advantageous but not essential.
- A Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or a recognized equivalent qualification, is preferred, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
- Commitment to engage with and complete the organization's training requirements.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Awareness of the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to the support of Maori in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
- Brackenridge requires all employees to be fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19.
- All new applicants will undergo background checks as per the requirements of the Children's Act 2014.
